Raffia and crochet items should be cared for while dry: dust them off with a soft brush and protect the material from rain, which can cause the natural fibers to warp. If they get damp, let them dry flat in the open air.

The canvas should be dry-cleaned or cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, using a dabbing motion. Never put it in the washing machine: this would distort the structure of the espadrille. Let it air dry.

Clean the leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Condition it occasionally with a clear leather conditioner to keep it supple and shiny. Let it air dry, away from any heat sources.

The natural braided rope sole, hand-stitched in Spain, should not be exposed to prolonged immersion: never soak your espadrilles. After a rain shower, let them air dry, away from direct heat sources.
